Bunting Wedding Placecards

A friend of mine recently said she wanted to create a bunting theme for her table setting at her forthcoming wedding, and wanted to keep a rustic and brown kraft theme. So this is what we came up with.

Using our plain brown kraft placecards, and a few essentials such as ribbon and sharp scissors; we had a great afternoon in the sunshine cutting, sticking and creating!

Here's what we used to create the gorgeous bunting above:

A pack of our plain brown kraft placecards

available on our website here:
http://www.razzledazzlerose.co.uk/recycled-kraft-card-wedding-place-cards-pack-of-25-17645-p.asp

We used our natural twine and extra fine cutting scissors, ribbon from Jane Means.

To create the bunting around the jar, the hanging bunting and the bunting on the placecards, we chose these gorgeous raspberry stitched and pale blue with white dotty grosgrain ribbons:

both available from Jane Means.

we added a little pink gingham table cover, and some hanging bunting to match too!

As well as a little of my absolute favourite bunting combination - pale blue dotty with red stitched ribbon!

Each bunting was cut into small enough triangles to glue onto our natural twine, then glued onto the flat placecard with some stix 2 high tac pva glue. We found this was the best for a quick dry, and it also dries clear!

We had a fabulous afternoon playing around - and love the completed look - we hope you like them too xx

A little Seaside Inspiration

Hi Everyone

I recently raided my lovely box of Jane Means ribbons, and was instantly inspired by the thought of lazy hazy days by the sea, warm sunshine, sandcastles, walks along the dunes and ice-creams; hence our latest blog being very seaside inspired!

Keeping our theme natural (of course!) we used our brown kraft pillow boxes, and brown kraft matchboxes for our summer inspired gift theme.

Jane Mean's blue and cream stripe grosgrain ribbon, and the Royal Blue and white grosgrain ribbon matches our natural stationery and accessories  perfectly.

Royal Blue and White Stripe Grosgrain Ribbon (100M)

Simply wrap your gift in plain brown kraft wrapping paper, add a length of ribbon and tie a bow to the front. Complete with one of our navy or printed brown kraft tags and you're done.

We think they make perfect gift for male or females!

  • Assorted Red ribbons from Jane Means
  • Stix 2 double sided tape
All our bags and boxes come pre scored and flat for you to assemble. Add a strip of double sided tape to the inside of each left and right of the card flaps like this:

Remove the red part of the double sided tape, lift and adhere to the inside of the handbag like his:

Fold in the two inner card flaps, they are pre scored to make life a little easier

Before you add your content, and close the handbag top, add your ribbon by threading through the two holes from the inside of the top flap.

Add your choice of ribbon, twine, or lace. Tie a knot in both sides of the handbag to form the bags handle.

We love them with Jane Means Red and cream striped grosgrain ribbon or the red stitched ribbon like we have made here ...

Mini Journal Kits

                                 Mini Autumn Journals

With the sun shining everyday here in the UK, long summer nights and perfect barbecue weather, we were thinking of the next seasons and all that Autumn has in store for us.  I was recently asked by Crafts Beautiful magazine to make something with our brown kraft card, but with a rustic Autumnal theme.

And this is what we ended up with! A gorgeous little mini journal kit. The journal kits were an idea I had with luggage tags - we joined them together and created into a concertina journal. We designed the backing papers, added little frames for you to mount your photographs and autumn memories, added a leaf for the front, and threaded some gorgeous bright orange and brown Jane Means ribbon and twine; we even added some journalling words for you all as well.

The kits all fit into a cute little brown kraft box too, and we think they are a really nice keepsake album for bonfire night, Halloween and for preserving memories of wonderful autumnal walks whilst kicking leafs and looking for conkers!

The kits are available on our website for £9.99 each, and can be purchased here.

Jane Means Ribbon is included in the kit, but additional supplies can be purchased here.

We LOVE the mini journals so much, that we are now working on baby journals, Christmas memory journals, Summer Holiday journals, and wedding journals too!

Hope you like them... Bye for now xx

Laser Cut Sleeves

Hello Everyone,

The sun has been shining today, and we're feeling in a spring mood! We have been busy designing some new products and thought we would share one of our NEW laser cut sleeves and favour boxes with you.

The Laser Cut Sleeves are available from my website here:

The adorable laser cut sleeves come flat, ready for you to assemble, (all you need to do is add a little double sided tape to each of the inside flaps shown to stick together)

We decorated them with some gorgeous 15mm reversible stitched Salmon Pink grosgrain ribbon. Available from www.janemeans.com.

Starting from the middle of the back of the sleeve when the sleeve has been made up, add a straight line of double sided tape, bring the tape around the front, and bring around the back of the sleeve to meet in the middle where you started.
Repeat the process with the ribbon, by peeling back the double sided tape top layer and add the ribbon and wrap around the back. With a sharp pair of scissors, cut the ribbon straight at the tape join and press down lightly for the ribbon to stick to the tape.

We used our pastel pink mini doilies to decorate our kraft boxes, and matching Salmon Pink ribbon to complete the set.

The wallets have a small hole in the front, and come with free mini luggage tags. They can be used as a menu place settings at your wedding reception, or as a really unusual and unique way of giving a wedding invitation to your guests. The wallets can hold up to 5 pieces of card, for your invitation, RSVP, venue or travel information.

The wallets are also available in vintage cream fleck.

We also decorated some mini vintage milk bottles with our mini doilies, filled the jars with chocolate dragees, and added a name - we think they make perfect little table favours!

Gatefold Card Tutorial

                                   SQUARE GATEFOLD CARD TUTORIAL

Hi Everyone,

Today we have been busy designing some new cards for our website, and thought we would share a lovely tutorial with you. We have some new Square gatefold cards and DL size gatefold card kits, both are now available in our shop.

Here we have printed on one of square gatefold card inserts as a wedding invitation, added one of our brown paper doilies and completed the card with some gorgeous wired ribbon from Jane Means (www.janemeans.com) and simply finished with a printable tag and a handmade paper flower.

Print the insert card with your desired birthday message, wedding invitation details or Christmas greeting as above..

Use doubled sided tape to adhere your printed insert to the middle part of the card base.

You then need to add double sided tape to the back side of the paper doilie, and place centrally onto the front left hand flap of the card.

This is so your card can open and close without the doilie sticking to the opposite side of the card.

Add your ribbon, and a printable tag with your printed message or wedding date, tie a bow with your wired ribbon, and add a paper flower to finish!

Recycled paper flower here:

                                                             DL GATEFOLD CARD TUTORIAL

The same principle applies to the DL gatefold card kits, except you can punch holes to tie your twine or ribbon to the front of your card.

print your insert card and add double sided tape the the back of the card and adhere to the middle of the folded card.

Measure 105mm lengthways in and score a faint line using a braddle on the inside of your card

and do the same again on the opposite flap.

Measure the width inside and add a score line to meet 15mm, this is where you need to punch your holes on both sides.

Thread your jute twine,or ribbon from the back of the card, and tie into a bow at the front. here we have added one of our printable tag to complete the card.
